Dance Teacher: Janine Henderson
After graduating from University with a 2:1 in Dance Practice and Performance, Janine worked as a freelance teacher and performer around the North West.
With much experience, Janine returned to Birmingham, where she continues to perform and choreograph for many local theatres, including Sutton Arts Theatre, Manor Musical Theatre and Trinity Players. Janine has taught Musical Theatre at a local performing arts academy and is passionate about sharing her love of dance and theatre with young people.

Sofia Price
Sofia Price is an actor, educator and writer who has been involved in acting for theatre, television and film for several years. She joined London’s influential Common Stock Theatre Company in West London as a teenager and became actively involved on the London fringe with some leading playwrights, actors and directors of the time. She went on to perform several plays at The Sherman Theatre, Cardiff as an undergraduate theatre student and after her degree, decided to continue to be involved in theatre in education, gaining her a PGCE at Cardiff University.
In parallel to her professional career as a Drama and English teacher, Sofia has many years’ experience as Head of Drama, teaching and coordinating the Drama curriculum on numerous courses, including GCSE Drama, A Level Drama and Theatre Studies, BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts (Acting/ Directing/ Theatre Technique/ Writing/ Technical modules), International Baccalaureate Diploma (Theatre), in addition to teaching LAMDA speech and drama examinations to all ages. She became a visiting examiner for AQA and Edexcel GCSE Drama, moderating candidates’ performances within Birmingham secondary schools for several years. Sofia also became an examiner for the Theatre component for the International Baccalaureate Diploma for over 15 years, marking Directors’ Notebooks and Research Projects for drama students all over the world. She is proud to have worked with prisoners at H.M.P at Winson Green for two years, developing community and life skills through English and Drama, within their rehabilitation education programme.
Sofia continued to promote the values of theatre in education in her various leadership roles as Head of Faculty throughout her career working in secondary schools and colleges around Birmingham. Many of her students have enjoyed successes in theatre, television, film, music and scriptwriting. She has also enjoyed directing and performing in many staff/student productions, such as her performance of Bryony Lavery's More Light for which she acted and directed alongside theatre students, winning Best All Female Play at The Lichfield Garrick Theatre Festival. Her Key Stage 3 student production of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream was recently awarded the Knights of Columba Award for best performer in the competition. She co-wrote and directed Grated Expectations for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and this play was subsequently performed at the Birmingham Old Rep Theatre in their programme for 2013/4. She returned to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in the summer of 2016 with Mercy & The Wild Sea, an ambitious sci-fi rock opera devised by musician husband Richard Price, who composed all the original soundtrack.
Since retiring from full-time teaching in 2021, Sofia has become a freelance actor and supporting artist for film and television, working on a variety of Drama series for Sky, BBC, ITVX, Netflix, Channel 4 and Disney as well as major movies filmed in the UK.
